Fast Way To Get UVSun: UV Index & Sunscreen

Know how much safe sun you have left today - personalized to your skin, and honest about it.

UVSun reads the UV index for exactly where you are and turns it into a personal daily safe-sun budget: an amount set by your skin type that sunlight spends and sunscreen slows. Instead of a vague guess, you get a clear number - and UVSun shows its work.

WHY UVSUN IS DIFFERENT
- It shows its work. See your remaining safe-sun time, how much of your daily dose you have used, and how fast you are spending it - not a black-box countdown. The budget is set with a safety margin, on purpose.
- Honest about sunscreen. When you log SPF, UVSun credits realistic in-use protection and then eases off its assumption over time - it reminds you to reapply instead of pretending the sunscreen lasts forever.
- It keeps up with the sun. A session re-rates as the sun climbs and as your sunscreen ages, so the number actually moves - it never freezes at what it said when you started.
- Backed by real science. A Science page cites peer-reviewed sun-safety research and is upfront about what the evidence does and does not show.

HOW IT WORKS
- Allow location and UVSun looks up the UV index for where you are, with your place name.
- Do a quick skin-type check - a private camera color scan or a short quiz reads your eye, skin, and hair color to estimate your Fitzpatrick type (I-VI).
- Watch your remaining safe-sun time and daily dose budget update through the day.
- Tap "I'm in the sun" to track a session, and get a shade heads-up before you overdo it plus a reminder to reapply sunscreen.

- No account, no sign-up, no cloud.
- Your location is used only to look up the UV index and your place name - never for ads, and never shared with advertisers.
- Your skin-scan photo is never saved or uploaded.

UVSun is ad-supported. A one-time purchase removes all ads - every feature is available either way.

What’s new

The History tab now goes back further than a week. The arrows above the chart step the window back seven days at a time, and the chart, the weekly stats and the session list all move with it - back to your very first record.

Settings moved into the bottom tab bar, so it is one tap from anywhere instead of a gear in the corner of the home screen. The bar is opaque now too, so the labels stay legible whatever colour the sky is.

Thanks for using UVSun!
